Meaning what?

Relationships are a stock market. It works like this:

All relationships between people are based on an exchange of goods. Every time we get close to someone, we do so because we want to acquire something from them, such as affection, understanding, sex, and in some cases, a laundry service. To purchase these goods, we offer the person some goods of our own, such as sex, money, understanding, affection, and in some cases, a never-ending supply of dirty laundry.

So while we like to think of love and emotional involvement as a matter of the heart, in reality we are all standing in the middle of a vast trading floor looking for the best way to buy low, sell high, and pull our profit out before the bottom falls off the market.

Let's call this the Sexual Stock Market™.
